Cub Scouts
Cub Scouts is for boys 1st grade (6 yrs.) through 5th grade (10 yrs.), and
meet at times determined by each Den of Pack 296.
The Cub Scout program at St. John Neumann offers effective character, citizenship,
and personal fitness training for boys of the parish.
The purpose of this program is to develop American citizens who are physically,
mentally, and emotionally fit; have a high degree of self-reliance as evidenced
in such qualities as initiative, courage, and resourcefulness; have personal
values based on religious concepts; have the desire and skills to help others;
understand the principles of American social, economic and government systems;
are knowledgeable about and take pride in their American heritage and understand
our nation’s role in the world; have a keen respect for the basic
rights of all people, and are prepared to participate in and give leadership
to American society. Pack 296 of St. John Neumann
provides a structure for promoting “attention to religious life”
within a scouting program for the boys of this parish. |
