Sacrament
of Marriage
For a couple to be married or have their marriage validated at St. John
Neumann, the following conditions must be met:
The couple must meet with the priest for an initial interview before setting
a wedding date, reserving the church, reserving a reception site, or making
any other related wedding arrangements.
- Both parties be 18 years old by the date of their wedding.
- The couple should begin preparation for marriage at least six
(6) months prior to the wedding date to ensure sufficient time
to secure a date for the wedding and the preparation process.
- Both parties must complete the Engaged Encounter Marriage Program
or the Pre-Cana Program, an Archdiocesan requirement.
- Either the parents of the bride or groom, or the bride or groom
must be registered members of the parish.
