Our role is to assist St. John Neumann’s Pastor. We serve as a link between the parish and faithful Catholics who are no longer able to attend Mass.

The people we visit are hungry for Our Lord. In some cases, we are their only visitors. They feel blessed that someone cares enough to bring them the Eucharist and appreciate our visits. However, you will find we are the ones who are truly blessed.

We visit and provide them with the type of Communion appropriate to their situation. Most, receive both prayer and the Eucharistic Jesus. For some, we can only pray with them.

Every Sunday, 5 Ministers visit Catholic residents in need.
  • One (1) Minister - the Homebound.
  • Two (2) Ministers - Meridian NursingHome and Hearthstone Assisted Living Center.
  • Two (2) Ministers - Tri-Sun Nursing Home.

In order to become involved with this ministry:

  • a Criminal Background Check is required
  • You must be commissioned as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion
