Columbian Squires
The Columbian Squires is an international organization of young Catholic
men, 12 to 18 years of age, and the official youth group of the Knights
of Columbus.
Brother Barnabas in Duluth, Minnesota organized the first Circle on August
4, 1925. The purpose of the Squires is to develop future leaders for our
Church, country, and communities. There are over 1,075 Circles with 25,000
members, worldwide.
The Msgr. Robert Silverman Knights of Columbus Council 9291 sponsors the
St. John Neumann Squires Circle 4223, which was formed in February 1995.
The members of the Circle have attended retreats, served as Ushers, held
fun days, built the Rosary around the Bell Tower, assisted the Knights and
assisted at the St. Vincent de Paul Kitchen, and other projects around the
parish and the city.
All 12 - 18 year old young Catholic men of the parish are invited to join
the Circle. |
